India will go the polls in May 2024 to elect members of the 543-seat Lok Sabha – the lower house of the country's parliament. This will be a crucial test for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, which is the dominant force in the governing National Democratic Alliance. Current opinion polls indicate Modi is likely to win the election with a reduced majority. Modi has been in power since 2014 and his coalition holds 333 seats in the Lok Sabha. What is mindset of Indian voters in the lead-up to the 2024 polls. Mr Rajagopalan will examine this question in this presentation. The election will be crucial for India's business, economic and political narratives
