Rosie Dent is an international development and partnerships specialist, responsible for fostering business growth at Abt Global Australia. Here, she composes and manages proposals for new international development programs, primarily for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. In addition, Rosie has experience working in the NGO sector as a volunteer facilitator with One Woman Project. She holds a double Master of International Relations and International Law as well as a Bachelor in International Relations with the University of Queensland.
Ian Kemish AM served as Australian High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea, Ambassador to Germany, Head of the Prime Minister’s international division, and Head of the Consular Service in a diplomatic career that spanned 25 years. He was awarded membership of the Order of Australia for his leadership of Australia’s response to the 2002 Bali bombings. Ian went on to play a leadership role in the private sector, and is now an Adjunct Professor in History at the University of Queensland, a director of the Australia–Indonesia Centre, an Expert Associate at the ANU National Security College, and an Honorary Fellow of Deakin University. Ian is also actively engaged in the international development and not-for-profit sectors, and writes regularly on Indo–Pacific strategic issues.
Joel Lindsay is a Board Director with the United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA), and the National President of their Young Professionals Network. He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of International Studies, and then later completed a Master of International Relations.
Since graduation, Joel has volunteered with UNAA, starting as a blog editor with the local Queensland team, working his way to be President of the Young Professionals. At the same time, he joined the Queensland Government Policy Futures Graduate Program, spending two years working on policy issues across education, regional development, and First Nations policy. After several years in areas focused on energy, hydrogen, and the transition to a low carbon future, Joel is currently a Manager in Climate Policy and Strategy with the Queensland Department of Energy and Climate.
