Geoff Miller is a former Australian diplomat and government official. He was Director-General of the Office of National Assessments from 1989 to 1995. His tenure coincided with the first Gulf War, the break-up of the Soviet Union and the events leading up to the Yugoslav Wars. He oversaw intelligence analysts working on developments in these areas as well as Australia's commitment to United Nations peacekeeping operations. In a distinguished diplomatic career, Mr Miller was Ambassador to Japan (1986-89), the Republic of Korea (1978-80) and High Commissioner to New Zealand (1996-2000). He also served as Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
