Associate Professor of International Relations (Honorary) at University of Queensland
Marianne Hanson gained her Masters and Doctoral degrees at the University of Oxford. She subsequently taught international relations at Magdalen College, Oxford, and later at the University of Queensland. Her teaching and research focuses on the intersection of controlling deadly weapons, international humanitarian law, and global order. Her most recent book, Challenging nuclearism: a humanitarian framework to reshape the global nuclear order, was published by Manchester University Press in 2022. Marianne is also a member of the Asia-Pacific Leadership Network.
